Great food and service!

First time there for my wife and I. Really good food. Awesome garlic bread. Definitely on the expensive side though, even for an Italian restaurant.

I was excited to try this place, I’ve been wanting Italian food since covid-19 started and I was so disappointed. The food was just not good. The sauce tasted like watered down old tomato soup. The field mozzarella was basically flavorless fried cheese and the chicken wasn’t any better. And at $50 a plate I felt cheated.

Best Halibut in town

Food is okay. Microwaved. I ordered a manicotti and it was drenched in tomato sauce. There was water also beneath the tomato sauce. Pretty good to eat

We reserved this restaurant in advance for a Christmas staff dinner. You would think that knowing the number of extra people the restaurant would plan ahead. Our group waited (2) two hours for our meals to be served. Poor planning by the management.

Delightful Italian restaurant. We stayed in Bakersfield for the night to shorten a trip and found Little Italy and loved it. The food was delicious , the ambience very elegant and the service was outstanding. We’re going to make this a stop after this. The chef/owner came over to visit with us, such an interesting and nice man. A great find! You won’t Be disappointed

One of my favorite spots for quality italian food. Really nothing but good experiences here. The place has a great feel to it. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.

The food is just alright, you're only paying for the atmosphere and the service.

Their pasta and chicken Alfredo are the best. Bread is delicious. Place looks classy. Unfortunately, like other reviewers have mentioned, servers are a little inattentive and slow. Getting your drinks takes for ever, just to give you an example. If time is not an issue, then you'll be fine.

My first time dining here and I was surprised by the elegants of this place nestled in a shopping center. The food was excellent. Fresh ingredients. Very professional wait staff a great quiet place for a romantic date or a business lunch

Good small place if you want to eat really authentic Italian food.

The food was fantastic, the service was great. The only issue was the price of the drinks which was outrageous. Fantastic place for a date if you stick to water.

It was very dark and they didn't except a coupon for they're restaurant so I turned around and walked out!

I never enter there but i bet there is good food i ever not eat. Why i say good food because of italy. I touched olive garden before. It is italy. Italian is one of any restauants which is good. I guess this is one of

Meh... well everything is relative I guess...I had the carbonara. Carbonara is pancetta and egg. What I got was a plate full of cream so heavy that you missed all other ingredients. Last but not least, pasta has to be al dente. Instead my pasta was way over cooked and very soft.

My birthday dinner was a birthday dinner disaster. I ordered the chicken parmagiana but what was brought was fork full of noodles with a soaked piece of chicken overwhelmed by the marinara sauce. I tried to let the waiter know but he seemed uninterested. I asked to speak with the manager but all they sent was a lead waiters who was trying to convince me that I should have liked it because she said everybody else likes it. She had the nerve to ask if I wanted it boxed. That was waist of my hard earned money.

Great food

Wow. Food is perfect. Delicious. Service is great. So why 4 stars? I went when they were crowded and the low hard ceiling makes it VERY LOUD. I highly recommend Little Italy but suggest you skip Friday and Saturday evenings when it is crowded and loud.

Perfection. Little hole in the wall but very romantic and extremely charming. Amazing food. Period. Authentic delicious well portioned worth your money. Friendly service. Other reviews say that service was slow, but that was not the case for our experience. Oh yes! They even light a candle lamp at your table. White table clothes and it all. So so nice. Not a large restaurant so it's not loud. For a small party or couple there is usually no wait. I am going to recommend to every couple I know for date night.

A Bakersfield Hidden Gem! I say "hidden" because the windows are so dark that you can't even tell that they're open (infact, they look as though they're closed). Great, varied menu & great food. Save room for the Limoncello cake for dessert. I gave it 4 stars because the noise level was SO LOUD that I could barely hear the conversation at the table.

Love this cozy spot. It is locally owned so they sometimes are not prepared for crowds if you don't make reservations, but the food is delicious and truly homemade! The owners are on site, preparing the food and helping guests, so it's obvious they care about the customer. You're most likely to get the same bartender every time and he is super friendly...Fettuccine is the best I've had in town :)

The food and the wait staff are all amazing. I had barramundi and it was probably the best fish I've ever had!

So so so good!!! We ordered for pickup and food was really good and portion sizes were outstanding! Having tried take out in COVID times at several Italian restaurants in town I have to say this was the best. Value for your money was great! Staff was friendly and timely. You can also pay via phone. We will be back for sure.

Little Italy is by far my favorite authentic Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Everything from the food to the decor reminds me of cooking at my Grandmother's house. We continue to go back for our anniversary dinners and birthdays. Love, love, love!

Always great food and service. Last visit was blackened mahi mahi, cooked to perfection, seasoned just right and moist. I usually don't order mahi because it's a dry fish anywhere else I've had it, but it was the special so figured I'd try it. Can't go wrong, but my favorites are steaks and pastas.

Italian food, my favorite treat. This place does it for me. The staff was very welcoming and sociable. The place has a nice atmosphere. Like a restaurant in Washington I liked.

Last evening party of 4. 5 40 pm. Took 35 mins to order. Another 30 mins to be served. Halibut dry and very small portion. Chicken parm luke warm soaked in sauce! Pork chop was excellant and eggplant great! They are under staffed for 4 hours of service. Check was given immediately. Third time trying this restaurant. Same issues!

This is such a quaint little restaurant for a date night. We went a little early for our anniversary a few years ago and even tho it wasn't open yet the chef let us in and waited on us himself. We really enjoyed it.

Very good food, relaxing and quiet atmosphere, adult and no children ever when we have been there. Not cheap, portions are reasonable and a good wine list. Highest meal, about $50 a plate, wine $20-80 a bottle. We love the play, but others we know didn't find it as good, so go figure.

It was my first time there with my son Josh and my boyfriend John from Vegas who is Italian. We read the reviews online first and made a reservation. The service was excellent so was the food. We will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Ok location for quality Italian food. had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again.

Horrible service. Was the only person in the restaurant and was ignored for more than 10 minutes. Was never offered a drink, and was told the server had to run an errand when I asked. I left without bothering to order. Not that I could have ordered anything at all.

Showed up prior to closing, owner turned kitchen on and we had a great time and meal. Recommended!

Good ambience, good food. Chicken piccata was excellent. Good wine selection.
